Alice’s Story

Alice is an active 11-year-old who loves swimming, tennis and hip-hop dancing. She has been living with Crohn’s disease since she was just three and a half years old.

Today, Alice receives infliximab infusions every five weeks. While her energy can dip before her treatment, afterwards her mum, Yvonne, says she is soon back to herself – full of energy and ready to take on the world.

Hospital visits have become a familiar part of Alice’s life, and the support she receives makes a real difference. From nurses who have known her for years to play specialists who help make her visits more comfortable, Alice and her family have built special relationships with the teams caring for her.

Today, Alice never lets Crohn’s disease define her. As Yvonne, Alice’s mum, says, “She has totally accepted that this is her thing, and she just gets on with it.”

By taking part in Trick or Treat, you’ll help raise vital funds to give sick children like Alice the very best chance.
