Thank you to everyone who got involved in this year’s Great Irish Bake for Sick Children, proudly supported by Gem. Whether you baked something sweet, donated, or helped spread the word—you made a real difference for sick children and their families.
This year, we were thrilled to have Donal Skehan and our amazing Star Baker, six-year-old Sara, on board to help rally bakers nationwide. From homes and schools to offices and crèches, seeing so many people come together to support children in Crumlin, Temple Street, Tallaght, and Connolly was heart-warming.
We even held our very own Great Irish Bake Day in the office! There were plenty of tasty treats, homemade bakes, and even a baking competition that brought out everyone’s creative side. Please scroll down to see some of our favourite snaps from the day.
Thanks to your incredible support, all funds raised will go towards helping sick children and their families in Crumlin, Temple Street, Tallaght, and Connolly. You will help provide vital equipment, practical support, and life-changing research—the kind of care and innovation children like Sara rely on daily.
Sara’s journey with Temple Street began when she was six weeks old. Since then, she has undergone multiple surgeries, including two major skull expansion surgeries, to give her brain the space it needs to grow. Today, Sara is thriving thanks to the incredible doctors, nurses, and hospital staff who’ve been with her every step—and your kindness helps keep that care going strong.
Your support is truly making a difference—bringing us closer to delivering even better care for those who need it most. We’re so grateful you took part in this year’s campaign. Every cake, biscuit, and cupcake you baked is helping transform lives, provide the best possible care, and give every sick child the very best chance.
