Aerogen donates €25,000 to support the Giggle Fund!
As our partners Aerogen celebrate their remarkable 25-year anniversary of designing and producing products for the acute care sector, they have decided to mark the milestone by giving back to communities and initiatives close to their hearts.
Children’s Health Foundation are delighted to receive a generous donation of €25,000 for the Giggle Fund. The staff at Aerogen also took part in our Trick or Treat campaign in October raising over €2,600 across their locations in Dangan, Parkmore and Shannon.
Spending time in hospital means children often miss out on milestones such as birthdays, Christmas, Easter, Halloween etc. The Giggle Fund allows staff to arrange little surprise gifts that make a big difference to the children who receive care within Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin. By supporting the Giggle Fund, Aerogen will help to create moments of joy within the hospital by ensuring children have a cake on their birthday and a present to mark the day.
Hugh Kane, Interim CEO at Children’s Health Foundation, said, ‘’We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our partner, Aerogen, for their remarkable €25,000 contribution to the Giggle Fund at Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin. Navigating a hospital stay, especially during cherished occasions like birthdays, can be challenging for a child. The Giggle Fund ensures these moments are filled with joy, providing birthday cakes and presents. With the continued kindness and generosity of partners like Aerogen, we will continue our vital work and to support children and their families across Ireland on every step of their treatment journey – today, tomorrow and in the future. Thank you so much!’’
Ciara Power, Senior Manager, Global Corporate Communications said; “We are honoured to mark our 25th anniversary by supporting Children’s Health Foundation, an organisation dedicated to transforming children’s lives for the better. Many of us in Aerogen have experienced the love and care of the teams within Children’s Health Ireland hospitals and we know only too well the difference much-needed light relief can make during these stressful times. We are delighted to be able to support the Giggle Fund and hope our donation will bring smiles and laughter to many children and their families”.
Children’s Health Foundation would like to thank all the staff at Aerogen for their wonderful support to better the care of sick children across Children Health Ireland hospitals and urgent care centres. We look forward to continuing the partnership into 2024.
