2024 Calendar of events
Children’s Health Foundation has a wide range of events and challenges throughout the year for your company to get involved in. So, whether it’s a skydive or a bake sale, we’ll make sure your team has a great experience, all while raising funds to support the lifesaving work in Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin, Temple Street, Tallaght and Connolly.
Dare to be Brave
- Will you dare to be brave for sick children? Children’s Health Foundation’s “Dare to be Brave” is a series of high-octane, adrenaline inducing events which challenge you to step out of your comfort zone and raise vital funds to support sick children. Our final challenge for the year is Hell & Back. Ireland’s toughest physical & mental endurance challenge, Hell & Back is the country’s largest and most popular obstacle course run. On the 21st of September 2024, the stunning Killruddery Estate in Bray, Co Wicklow is converted into an adventure playground, where participants must complete an 8KM trail route crossing rivers and lakes, climbing hills and mountains and crawling through bogs and swamps.
- The fundraising target for Hell & Back is €450 and includes the registration fee of €59. Email Mark – modonnell@childrenshealth.ie for more information or click here to register.
Trick or Treat - Halloween Season 2024
- Trick or Treat proudly supported by MiWadi is celebrating a monstrous 24 years in 2024! Our wonderful supporters have been donating to help sick children by doing something they love – dressing up and having a spooktacular party. Join in our Monster Mash and host a Halloween party to raise funds to help us give every sick child in Ireland every chance.
- Register your organisation at www.childrenshealth.ie/trickortreat and we will send you out one of our famous party packs. It will include everything you need to host your own Monster Mash including posters, tablecloth, bunting, stickers, and so on to help you make your event go with a bang.
Christmas Wishes - November and December 2024
- Christmas is such an important time for children. Of course, the presents are lovely, but more than that, it’s about the love and warmth and togetherness that comes with the season. For children spending the festive season in hospital, however, it’s a very different experience — in unfamiliar surroundings, far from the comfort of home, lying awake in a strange bed and feeling the worry that comes along with illness.
- With a gift to our Christmas Wishes campaign, your company can go a long way to changing all that. Your generosity can support our amazing front-line staff as they go about their work of looking after the young patients in the care of Children’s Health Ireland.
Please make our Christmas Wish come through and help get kids back to being kids. To find out more, including how we will recognise your donation, email christmaswishes@childrenshealth.ie
Christmas Jumper Day - 13th December 2024
- Christmas Jumper day is back! It’s the perfect workplace fundraiser to support sick children in hospital.
- This year, we will be holding our Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 13th December, but you can get your colleagues to don their festive fashions on any day that suits your workplace best. You can host a best and worst jumper competition, maybe a guess the baby photo game, a National Lampoons Christmas Desk do-over to mark the day.
- How ever you do it, just be sure to remember that your fun will help purchase life-saving equipment, fund groundbreaking research, and fund patient and family supports to give every sick child every chance. Once you have registered, we will send out a special pack to ensure that you have a Crackin’ Christmas Jumper Day.

Coming in 2025
The Great Irish Bake
- There is nothing sweeter than a smile on the face of a sick child. Across the country, people are putting on their aprons, taking out rolling pins and dusting off recipe books to help raise urgently needed funds for sick children and their families. If your company would like to host a bake in your office, please email corporate@childrenshealth.ie
Clash of the Companies
- Clash of the Companies is Ireland’s foremost team building event that brings hundreds of people from all sectors of business together to compete against each other with the ultimate goal of raising funds for sick children in Ireland. Teams will gather at the event venue in Dublin where they will receive instructions for their digital GPS challenge along with t-shirts and goodie bags.
- They will then take to the streets of Dublin and have two hours to solve all their clues and challenges using an app on their phones. Once the course is completed, teams will return to the venue for games and entertainment, with some well-deserved food and drink before results and prize winners are announced.
- For more information, visit https://www.childrenshealth.ie/clash/. Registration for 2025’s event is due to open at the end of 2024.
